There's not much to talk about here. You will go to the mountain today.
Get up off your booty and head to Mt. Hood. There are 11 inches of new as of 5am, and there's another inch of precipitable water value predicted for today. In snow-speak, that's another foot of snow. Of course, there's another .6 predicted for tomorrow, so there might be 11 + 12 + 7 (or so) of new snow by tomorrow, with less wind.
But I know you want to pull out your snowboard and your traction devices and your skis and your powder cords (that's so 1980s, isn't it?) and head to Mt. Hood.
Windsurfers and kiteboarders, be informed that the low pressure center is not yet to our east, meaning surface winds are still light and out of the east. Don't sit around and wait for wind today. Go ski. Go snowboard. Go tele. (I know you telemark skiers loooooooooooooove powder... you come out in force on days like today)
Now, where's my coffee? Oh, I didn't make it yet. You people distracted me from making my coffee this morning. Shame on you.
Have a great day!
