I have to go to work in a few minutes, so this is going to be a quick note.
First, the skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows was quite good yesterday. There were a few icy patches left, but I spent most of the day in upper Heather, where there was a foot of powder covering the ice. Most excellent skiing yesterday! There's no new snow this morning, so you're looking at packed powder conditions if you head up. I think it will be fun, so go skiing! After all, skiing and snowboarding are more fun than hitting the gym, right? =)
The forecast for the next week or so looks good. NOAA's models show .25 inch water equivalent every day, so think 2-4" of snow daily. It's not a lot, but it should be enough to keep the ski runs soft.
Finally... winter is back. I miss riding my mountain bike, but skiing and snowboarding are super fun too!
