Sorry for the short notice, but the recent storm has left its mark on Maui and the Rocks (at least). The massive run-off has rutted a few sections of trail. We will be working on preventing any further damage, and repairing what we can.
Suggested tools: shovels, McLeods, 5 gallon buckets, gloves, etc...

All this crazy weather lately has made me pretty crazy. Made me? Well, anyway, things are going to calm down for the next week or so as high pressure builds into the Northwest, bringing warm temperatures (for winter) and clear skies. Today is our transition day; we'll see high clouds from an approaching warm front but little, if no, precipitation. We'll see a few sunbreaks too.
If you're thinking of skiing today, I say go for it. It's still windy up there, but, given the lack of crowds yesterday, there's plenty of untracked snow up there. I'm voting for snowboards over skis today. It's pretty heavy snow on the slopes.
Saturday looks sunny on the hill, but there's a chance of a few rain sprinkles (no, not downpours) on Sunday. After that, it's looking sunny on the hill for days on end. Cross your fingers that the sun burns out the inversion, giving us blue skies in Hood River as well. Looks like we might get a chance for mountain biking and road biking (if they can get the gravel cleared) in the next week.
Like I said... pretty quiet on the weather front.
