12.28 Forecast

This has been some strange weather we've been having in the Gorge. Luckily, we dodged the freezing rain bullet. Not so luckily for skier, it's been raining hard on the slopes since yesterday. Meadows has received over 3 inches of falling water in the last 24 hours. Just think... if that had been snow, even heavy snow, we'd have 3 FEET of new. Maybe on the upper mountain?

It looks like the snow level will drop today, falling low enough to bring snow to the mountain this afternoon and for the next couple of days. Snow levels rise again Tuesday night, climbing to 4000 feet or so. If the freezing level stays where it's supposed to, the mountain will get quite a bit of new snow for the rest of the week.

If you're a super-crazy windsurfer or kiteboarder, you'll have the opportunity for some high wind sailing out in the snowy desert tomorrow.

Ron forwarded a photo to me of all the snow covering Oregon during the last storm. Check it out:

Have a great day everyone!
