Good morning everyone!
Couple of things this morning....
First, there's a slight chance of wind in the desert tomorrow midday. A cold front passes the region sometime tomorrow morning, bringing more cool, rainy weather to the central Gorge. The eastern Gorge - and that's far east - will see midday winds in the 24-27 range. That's enough if you're desperate. Don't forget that the Maryhill Bridge is closed.
If you're skier looking to hike for a few turns, or x-c ski, make it today or tomorrow. Snow levels soar on Tuesday, and the heavens dump buckets of water, melting off all that fluffy white stuff. I know you kayakers are smiling at that, but us skiers are sad.
On a much sadder note, Fever passed away yesterday. His loss is a big bummer for those of us who enjoyed his smiles and laughter at Cheap Beach. If you would like to celebrate his life (or life in general), please join Fever's friends and family at Double Mountain today at 4pm.
Thanks again to Tony Barbieri (Sarge Loop) for doing his damnedest to save Fever with flawless CPR, and thanks to HRFD as well.
The rest of you... get out there and do something fun today!
And hey, I miss seeing you guys at the beach. I can't wait to see you on the mountain.
