Hi everyone,
I realized this evening that you guys would probably rather have a night-before forecast than no forecast at all, especially seeing as how iWindysurf is done for the season. So... since I have to work in the morning.... here is the text of the radio forecast (which I am also doing the night before, as you may have guessed!)
......
Good morning my friends! Mother Nature’s is sparing us the brunt of her fall fury this year. It’s Indian summer as far as the forecast goes, with sunshine and warmth keeping the off-season blues at bay.
Speaking of blue, we have blue sky and blue water today. Throw a golden orb in the blue sky and some whitecaps on the blue river, and you’ve got perfect conditions for windsurfing and kiting down in Stevenson and at Rooster Rock. Strong high pressure parked in the desert overnight, setting up solid gradients. We’ll see 28-32 at Stevenson and 30-plus at Rooster today. Go early, because high pressure approaches the PNW later, causing gradients to weaken.
That high pressure rebuilds at the coast tomorrow, setting up 17-21 westerlies in the afternoon… maybe a bit better in the evening. The Coast looks good for kiting as well tomorrow, with 6.5 feet.
Friday looks good in the gorge, with 15-18 out of the west to start the day, followed by 21-25 later on.
Better yet is the surf report for the week: all big waves and fairly light winds. Saturday looks huge…. 15 feet or so.
And even though I just did a cut and paste here, I still love all of you! Have a great day!
