Saturday Forecast (I forgot about vacation)

I forgot I was on forecast vacation.

I woke up, stumbled into my living room, turned on NPR (pledge drive first thing in the morning) and opened the computer.

It's worth saying something about the wind for the next few days...

Today starts with a .11 gradient and upper teen winds. We're still waiting on the front to pass, and NOAA says that's not going to happen until later. Let's say 2 o'clock, just picking a number out of the air. When the front finally passes, winds will climb into the 22-25 range east of the eventual cloud line. That probably means Doug's and Mosier.

Tomorrow looks like 21-24 easterlies.

Monday could get interesting. A strong cold front powers across Oregon and Washington early in the day. If the Cascades block the brunt of the rain and thunderstorms don't develop (both likely), this could be a true desert nuker. We'll have to wait and see... hard to tell this far in advance with these frontal things. Do keep Monday afternoon clear, if you can.

Have a great day, everyone!
