thursday Reed College forecast

Hi Everyone,

It's Fall. There's no denying it now. Night before last brought frost to the Heights in Hood River, killing the leaves on Terri Browne's zucchini. Then the rain came. 700 billion drops of water fell from the sky last night.

If you're looking for a few more hours of westerlies, head to the river today. Gradients are weak right now, but models say that won't last. We'll see 23-27 east of the cloud line today. It looks like dense clouds stopped at Mosier overnight, so I'll say Mosier/Doug's/Rowena/Maryhill today. 23-27 is the call, possibly a bit better in the early afternoon. For those of you out east, Arlington should make it into the 4.2/4.7 range as well.

Tomorrow looks like east winds in the 20-25 range.

Saturday ..

(oops. Have to go flip a pancake)

(pancake was not burnt)

Saturday brings light westerlies under sunny skies. I'm off to Lewis River for the Dirty Fingers Bike Repair customer appreciation campout.

At Reed College this evening is a speech by Obama's top economic advisor. I think there will be 700 billion people attending this one. Email me if you're interested in coming along.

Have a great day!

Temira
