Wednesday cut-and-paste

Hi Everyone,

It's cut and paste forecast this morning, with a few additions.

First off, the cloudy skies and cooler weather make me want to go to a movie. Good thing tonight is foreign film night at the Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River. The movie of the evening is Maria Full of Grace. I assure you this film is well worth the $5 suggested donation.

If you’d like to do something more athletic today, you could try windsurfing or kiteboarding. A cold front approaches the Gorge late in the day, driving very gusty 22-26 mph winds from Hood River out to Arlington late this afternoon. Tomorrow looks very similar, but colder. An upper level low crosses southern BC and weak high pressure rebuilds at the coast. Models suggest 23-27 tomorrow, but it’s a tough call with all the fronts and lows and highs affecting the Gorge all at once.

Tomorrow is also the last Post and Pint ride of the season. Join the Dirty Fingers Bike Repair gang for the final after-work ride along the Mitchell point trail. Starting next weekend, Dirty Fingers will be sponsoring an all-day Sunday ride, followed by food and beverages at local hot spots.

If you’re hoping for warmer weather sometime soon, you’re in luck. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are looking sunny and warmer, with less wind. It’s not just officially autumn; it’s officially road biking season… less wind, more miles!

Ok. You people stay out of trouble today. I'm off to work (well, after I drink this coffee... while listening to them talk about caffeine on NPR)

Have a good day!

Temira
